The Importance of Changing Your Filters
According to the EPA, your indoor environment is between 5 and 100 times more contaminated than the air outdoors.
Good, clean filters will help you control the levels of allergens, dust mites, pet dander, viruses and bacteria that circulate and recirculate through the air in your home. This is especially important as you spend more time indoors through the fall and winter seasons.
For the best air quality, use these rules of thumb. Manufacturers recommend that you change the filter in your vacuum once every four to six months. For your furnace filter, try for eight to twelve changes per year.
